Minority Contractor Workshop
On Monday, February 27th, 2012, the City of Tuscaloosa hosted a Minority Contractor Workshop at the McDonald Hughes Community Center to help contractors and owners of construction-related businesses become familiar with the qualification process and learn about the city of Tuscaloosa’s tornado reconstruction projects. Mixed Residential Districts
On February 28, 2012, the first draft of the Mixed Residential Districts for the tornado recovery areas were introduced to the City Council Public Projects Committee. John McConnell, Director of Planning and Development Services, presented an overview of the proposed zoning districts with accompanying maps for residential areas impacted by the April 27 tornado.
