Mayor Walter Maddox’s Remarks at the Tuscaloosa Community Memorial Service – April 27, 2012
For weeks, I have searched for words to provide meaning, comfort and closure to what we have experienced. I have come to the conclusion that this is an impossible task.
How do you provide comfort to families who have sacrificed so much? How do you describe the courage, skill and dedication of our first responders, employees, and agencies? How do you recognize our citizens for their extraordinary resiliency and generous spirit?
The simple truth is that I cannot adequately express what I feel in my heart to honor all those who deserve recognition beyond measure.
